RONIN TAIKO APPRENTICESHIP

Ronin Taiko is selecting a possible few apprentices and potential full time performing members. Previous taiko experience is not necessary, but a martial arts or athletic background is required, as well as basic knowledge of Japanese culture and tradition. After applications are submitted, there will be an evaluation period of selected applicants. This 3 day period will consist of a variety of vigorous activities to test the applicants on the qualities that Ronin Taiko is looking for as an apprentice. Once apprentices are selected, details of apprenticeship will be announced.

* please note: There is no guarantee of a position with Ronin Taiko. These are not taiko classes or workshops, but an opportunity to train as an apprentice, and possibly become a full time performing member. Ronin Taiko is based in South Florida.

• 1 page with background information
  full name, age, current address, phone number, email,
  and any previous taiko experience.
  
  
• 1 page essay: “what does wadaiko mean to you, and why would you like to become a performing member of Ronin Taiko.”
  
  

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 yrs of age
• Martial arts/athletic background
• Basic knowledge of Japanese culture/traditions,
  knowledge of Japanese language a plus.
• Must be in good health
  
• Non-smokers
